McCruelty - I'm hatin' it!

As a longtime supporter of animal rights, the late actor Bea Arthur is still taking on cruelty to animals from beyond the grave. The Golden Girl took on the Golden Arches' chicken abuse with a full-page PETA ad in Thursday's Chicago Tribune. The ad, which says, "McCruelty: Enough to make Bea Arthur roll over in her grave," was paid for with a gift left to PETA in Bea's will.

McDonald's continues to kill chickens using an outdated method of slaughter that results in extreme suffering, even though a less cruel method, called "controlled-atmosphere killing" (CAK), exists.  We need you to speak up and urge the company to adopt CAK now.

Please take a moment to call McDonald's. Tell it that you saw Bea Arthur's ad and that you are joining her in insisting that McDonald's adopt CAK. You can reach McDonald's at 630-623-3000 during regular business hours. If you would like more information on the issue before placing your call, please visit McCruelty.com.
